I can't speak highly enough about Uri & the folks over at Dairy Hill Ice Cream. They went above and beyond to help coordinate ice cream for our wedding reception! We frequent the Hawthorne location and have always enjoyed the awesome selection they have every day, but the ability to arrange these treats so seamlessly for a large event like this just solidifies them as the best ice cream parlor in PDX! we had some wonderful ice cream, Bordeaux Cherry is amazing. Service was great, person behind the counter was so nice, and then we picked up an icecream cake for a friend's birthday; it looked great and it was pretty yummy.

I ordered a pistachio almond ice cream, my husband ordered a chocolate ice cream and my youngest daughter ordered a cotton candy ice cream. Those were all good and delicious. We had a chat with other customers too. Cashier lady was so nice and kind.(she has a light brown hair and wears glasses) kind people make me smile and laugh. So why I love Portland.

Stopped for ice cream our last evening in Portland. Cute little place with a retro vibe. Staff was very friendly. Plenty of flavor options. The ice cream was super smooth and creamy. My caramel sundae was delicious !

Delicious ice cream!! The person who served us was very kind. I got a shake and my spouse got 2 scoops, fast service and a good selection of ice cream!!

Boy is this place loud and crowded if you go during a busy time of day with a lot of children around. That being said, I'm impressed by the efficiency and calm demeanor of all staff members I've witnessed at this location, providing great customer service with a positive attitude. They don't have the widest selection of flavors, but what they have is tasty, and they do have some decent vegan options. They also offer some well-made shakes, including some completely dairy-free ones made with coconut milk (I would recommend asking for a vegan cookies and cream shake if you're into that).
